Morning,

We eliminated a lot of these errors (but not all) here by pointing our 
Oracle/SQL backups to dedicated Storage Units instead of "Any Available".

I'm being plagued by these on my RMAN backups:

ERROR: 54
timed out connecting to client
The server could not complete the connection to the client. The accept
system or winsock call timed out after 60 seconds.

I've got an open ticket with Veritas but have any of you defeated this
dragon?
