Here is my situation:

V880 solaris 8

Adic scalar1000

6 SNC bridges

brocade 3200 switch

=20

We have been getting drives dropping to AVR mode when we really push our
drives (full backups). We have our fiber connections from the switch to
the SNC's running through 2 patch panels. I have personally been asking
for direct runs from switch to SNC bridges. I think that when we crank
through lots of data or server is unable to get robotic commands
through. ADIC agrees with me but management will not budge. Has anyone
else had experiences, good or bad, with robotic fiber going through
patch panels? Any help would be appreciated.

Bill
