I agree. The only thing to take care is if you are going to upgrade de =
Operating System do it to 8 directly. Sun does not recommend to use =
Solaris 7 is not very stable .... You can go from 2.6 to 8 without =
problem ...
My two cents...

Solaris 2.6, 7, and 8 are supported for NB 3.4 (See the Release Notes =
for 3.4.) for both clients and servers.=20
Solaris 2.6, 7, 8, and 9 are supported for NB 4.5 (See the NetBackup =
4.5 Release Notes for Unix and Windows.) for both clients and servers.=20
With Solaris 7, Sun stopped using the 2.x naming standard.=20
Solaris 2.6 is not supported in NB 5.0.

4.5.

idea?=20
I would:=20
1. Upgrade the OS to 7 or 8.=20
2. Test everything. =20
3. Run for a while to make sure everything is working fine.=20
4. Then upgrade NetBackup to 4.5.=20
If I upgraded the OS to 7, I would repeat step 1 through 3 again when =
everything is stable. =20
>Oh....
>Did I mention?
>I do not have a lab to test this so I will be using production =
servers.
>I need to do it right the first time.
And of course, take precautions so you can roll back if any major =
problems occur.
