Hi,
as i want to be able to get lots of infos about my backups system i made heavy
use of bpdbjobs to see what jobs are running and the like.
i found that bpdbjobs is a resource-hog and far too slow for me. So i started
to find out more about the stuff in the /usr/openv/netbackup/db/jobs/
direcory and now have a rudimentary perl-script that can show me some infos
about the jobs (like, which are running, queued or done, which tape do they
use, ...).
I have some problems with restore jobs and some other stuff.
Does anyone know more about the JOB_STATE and JOB_TYPE variables?
Seems as if the State depends on the type, for backups i know types 0-3, and
as far as i know type 0 are backups and type 2 are recovers.. but what are
type 1? Archives?
Any infos about the jobfiles are welcome.
Also i am willing to share my scripts with anyone interested.
Oh, i use Netbackup Datacenter 3.4.1
Regards
Arne
