If the tape is already known to the master and out-of-library, then when the
restore is attempted, the tape will show up as a pending tape request.
Insert the tape into your tape drive, give it a minute to mount, then
resubmit the pending request (GUI or via "vmoprcmd -resubmit").

The stand-alone tape drive should be in AVR mode for this to work correctly.

If the tape is not known to the master, you'll have to import it.

Hello there. I have a second master connected to a tape library and it has
access to one of the drives, no robot though. We're just keeping it there
in case we need a restore from the old master.

The master connected to the robot and other drive is the new master.

Any one know the steps for restoring files using a stand alone tape drive?

Thank you in advance
