We had some trouble with the multi-eject function of vmchange. It would
eject tapes to the CAP, let them sit for 30 minutes of so, then
automatically reinject them.  The inventory wouldn't update, though, after
the re-injection so the last known position of the tapes was in the CAP, ie,
out of library.  We'd have to perform another vmupdate to sync the  volume
database back with the library inventory.

This was probably in the early releases of 4.5.  Perhaps it's been fixed.

I have no idea what you're talking about.. lose a tape?
Bpvault uses vmchange to move the tapes to the CAP and leaves
until you open it.
