I've ended up with drives down the last couple of nights with error logs
like:
09-Apr-2004 22:07:09 avrd[1240506]: Unable to scan COMPAQDLT80001 (device 0,
/dev/ntape/tape0_d1), Permission denied, DOWN'ing it
in syslog. I've never seen this before - any clue what the cause might be.
This is NBU 3.4 on Tru64 -- no changes have occurred to the system in the
last few weeks.
