The proverbial answer - depends. If you are running RedHat 7.0, use =
Linux2.2. If you are running RedHat 7.1, 7.2 or 7.3, use Linux 2.4. =
The easiest way to tell is to run "uname -a" on the linux box and see =
which kernel version you are running. The Linux2.2 client version will =
run on a Linux 2.4 kernel, but not vice versa. MP4/FP4 introduced the =
Linux 2.4 client version for support of files greater than 2GB on Linux. =

Looks like I have a version 7... where does that fit in?

Red Hat Linux 8 and 9 are both Linux2.4.

We're backing up a 6.1 system. Now that old guy is Linux2.2. I haven't
got anything around here older than that.
