I have 10 different backup policies

I'm going to be adding 4 new policies.

Once the 4 new policies are tested, I'll put them into production. I will 
no longer need my 10 original polices.

If i delete the 10 original policies, will i have problems 
merging/restoring my 2-3 year old offisite tapes that used the old 10 
policy names.

I suspect the answer is no but i thought i'd ask.
