| RH9 is currently unsupported. There's some hacks that have
| appeared on this board so search the history.
|
| This is also the classic sign of a mis-mapped drive index number on
| the media server. For example, Drive Index 1 on the media server
| used to be /dev/rmt/1 and now it's /dev/rmt/2. Did your devices
| remap when you rebooted?

|
| Does anyone know if there are any special steps that need to be
| taken to make backups work between a Linux Client and a Solaris
| Master/Media Server?. Ive installed the client software on the
| Linux box and rebooted both systems, but the backup just sits there
| after loading the tape, as if its waiting for the Linux Client to
| send data to the Master/Media Server.
|
If you like me and you department is unwilling to pay for maintance in
other words FP6 is not in the budget. Try this.
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
then restart xinet.d.

Just rember unless you edit you /etc/init.d/xinet.d script you have to
do that every time you reboot.
