All restore logs are written to ( via the java gui)

/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/user_ops/root/logs/ (Assuming you are performing the
restore as root)

and you can check what files were actually backed up on a particular client:

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bplist

e.g.

bplist -B -C client-name -S master -t 0 -k class-name -R -l -s 01/21/2004
17:00:00 -e 0
1/22/2004 9:00:00 /var

from this you can see what is actually missing.

Sorry if this question has been asked but I was wondering what log or if
someone has a script out there that will do the following.

If I am restoring 35000 files and it only restores like 34000, how do I
know what the other 1000 files are?

I currently have a script that runs that gets missed files at night
during backup, but not during a large-scale file server recovery.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thx
Josh
