I configured NBU catalog backup to go to a NDMP storage unit.
NetBackup does not complain and reports that catalog backups complete
successfully.
However, I am still concerned. Is anybody doing this?
What format does it write to a tape (tar or NDMP)?
What is the right procedure to restore database backups in this case (does
it need to be restored to a filer first)?
