We have been using the L700 with SSO and LTO-2 drives for about 6 months. =
Over all it has been good. We've had one bad drive and a micro-code =

There is a "lite" version of ACSLS for Windows called Horizon... something =
or other (or at least there used to be). I'm sure one of the STK guys =
would be glad to talk to you offline about it if you wish.=20
If someone told you that you HAD to have ACSLS in order to use SSO in =
NetBackup, that was incorrect. It works just fine configured as a normal =
library (e.g. TLD). Only one of the media servers will be the Robotic =
Control Host, which is a single point of failute to some extent (doesn't =
stop others from reading/writing to tapes already mounted, just can't do =
anything with the robotics), but with ACSLS, unless you cluster it with =
something, then that becomes your single point of failure.=20
