I am not sure there is a way to have NetBackup send an email for just failed
backups.  You might like to take a look at a product from APTARE called
StorageConsole (http://www.aptare.com/software/index.jsp). It allows you
to setup email notification policies for any type of backup or restore
event.  You can filter by exit status, event type (full, incremental, etc).
You
can even have the system send you one email at a certain time each day with
a list of all failed events for the previous night's backups.

We currently have backup info emailed via the Host
Properties(Global Properties) option in the GUI.
This emails successful backups as well as failures.

Is there any way to setup NetBackup to only email 
failed backups.
