There is a big difference between the -set and the -modify options.

If you use bpplinfo POLICYNAME -set -inactive, all policy information is
SET back to default.

If you use bpplinfo POLICYNAME -modify -inactive, then only the
active/inactive setting is changed.

-set should only be used when you are creating (initializing) a policy.
-modify is used to change only specified attributes of a policy.

bpplinfo <YOUR_POLICY_NAME> -set -active
To deactivate the policy run:
bpplinfo <YOUR_POLICY_NAME> -set -inactive
