We added a new Quantum Superdlt 220 tape drive to our L180 attached by SCSI
cables to a STK 3250 router and than fiber cable to the SUNfire 280R through an
Emulux FC card. We have 3 tape drives already that work fine but the new one
isn't seen by the OS for some reason. All four tape drives are listed in the
probe-scsi-all and in the configuration on the router lun 0 with 4 tape drive
targets are there. I've talked to StorageTek, Veritas, and SUN but have not
found a solution. The tape drive was swapped with another and it works.
StorageTek says if the router shows everything fine than the cables are OK.
Any ideas of what is preventing the OS from building the /dev/rmt with the boot
-r and also tried the devfsadm -C.
