Hello,

Is/has anyone used AIT-3 tape drives before? I'm running them on a Solaris
8 v480 server with NBU45_FP5 and I'm not seeing the kind of performance I'd
expect. I'm seeing 12-14MB/sec, more or less native speeds while compressed
speeds tout 30+MB/sec. I'm using the cbn device and I've tried multiple
st.conf settings. Problem is I'm finding documentation from different
places that all say something different when it comes to the st.conf
configuration.

I'm going to test some tar writes outside of NBU but I thought someone here
might have some insight or know the proper configuration settings. Vxstat
is reporting read times in the 1-2ms range so it doesn't appear to be my
storage. Thanks.

-Dave
