If you're at NBU 4.5 FP3 or higher, you can use vmphyinv to inventory
libraries that don't have barcode readers. Check the Media Manager System
Admin Guide for FP3 for more info.

If you're not at FP3, then upgrade... :) Seriously, if not, then you would
have to write a script that would tpreq each media, bplabel it and
tpunmount it (tpreq and tpunmount are documented in MM SysAdm Guide, bplabel
is documented in NBU SysAdm Guide). If you do a robot inventory on these
types of robots, you'll get the generic tape label of A00000, and so forth.
You can change those prefixes by modifying vm.conf (can't remember the
syntax; check the MM SysAdm Guide). After you do the robot inventory, then
you can do the tpreq/bplabel/tpunmount.
