I got email from someone about something to try, but I also found just a
bit of information in my logs and thought I'd show some more information
about my problem.

Hmm. It's not really a static problem. I need to know what it sees at
the time of the backup.

Not if you use wildcards. It'll create a separate stream for each
entry.

My problem is that it seems to know how many streams to create, but it
doesn't launch all of them. Looking through bpsched, I've come across a
lot of stuff like this..

04:25:01.882 [11573] <2> start_bpbrm: START BACKUP -c client -hostname
client -ru root -cl OracleClient -sched Full_Offsite -bt
1064748301 -dt 0 -st 0 -secure 1 -rl 7 -rp 94608000 -b client_1064748301
-jobid 316186 -jobgrpid 316176 -kl 14 -fso -backup_copy 0 -ct 0 -use_otm
-stream_count 34 -stream_number 14

The '-stream_count 34' appears to show that this job will have 34
streams, which is about the number of items in the directory. Every
night, stream_count is exactly 34.

*however*, I don't have 34 start_bpbrm lines here. Instead, I'll have
anywhere from 4 to 20 lines, each with unique '-stream_number <#>' bits.
So It knows about 34 directories, it just doesn't start jobs for each.

The smaller job for just the root of the client always starts 6 of 6
streams, no problem. This job just doesn't start them all. Since the
streams don't "fail", I don't see any errors. However, I'm not getting
all my data every night. I've had one directory back up only one time
in the past week. Why that night and not others, I have no idea.

I'm trying to find something that will tell me why bpsched has not
started a particular stream for a particular client.
