Hi all,
So we have been having some problems where an operator puts the wrong
tape into a standalone drive that is part of the wrong volume pool and
already has data on it, but is appendable. We will not discuss how it is
that the tapes got pulled in the first place when they were not full . . . .
. . . . . so how do I find out what tape is in a given drive prior to the
backups starting with out actually going over and checking each drive?
You can tell what tape is in a slot via the gui or vmquery, but I do not
see anything to indicate the standalone drive. What am I missing??????
Thanks,
Shannon
