Hi Peter,
Stop and start NetBackup services ou daemons (depend if it's Bill or not
;)).
There is also a command which "reread" config, but I've never seen this
worked before so ...
3.4 : bpschedreq -read_stunits
4.5 : bpschedreq -read_stunits and/or bpschedreq -read_stu_config
Tell us if it's working for you without stop NetBackup daemons !!
Hth

Objet : [Veritas-bu] add storage unit without rebbot of master
Hey all.
Just added a new storage unit on master server for a newly created media
server. But, when I start a backup job, I get the message
<master server name> - didn't find valid storage unit <SU name> in stunit
group, or storage unit list
In a test environment, the new storage unit is accessible after reboot of
the master's nbu daemons. But in production environment I cannot reboot the
master because of 7x24 running backups.
Can anyone suggest a workaround to solve my problem?
We use NBU 4.5 MP3, 1 master and 4 media servers.
Thank you for your help.
Regards, Peter
