or look at the VERITAS Service Manager for Storage product that was demo'd 
at Vision and is on their web site.  It's supposed to come out very soon. 
They talked about beginning of October at Vision and I haven't heard 
anything about it slipping.  I think it's being renamed again though...

It's NOT a new version of GDM or Advanced Reporter.  It's a completely new 
product.

We also looked at Advanced Reporter initially and did not go with it 
because it wasn't very flexible or easily customizable. We also looked at 
third party products which included offerings from Aptare, Bocada and 
Tavata. After going through the evaluation process we opted to go with the 
Aptare product, which we will be installing here within the next week or 
so. I urge you to look at all the possibilities because I can see 
viabilities in all three (depending on the make-up of your environment). 
The Aptare product seemed to come closest to suiting our needs. You might 
find one of the other products may better suit your needs.

Master server is Solaris 9 runnning Netbackup 4.5 MP3 .
My managers are looking for a reporting tool which can give some pretty 
good statistics.
Please give your opinion about the Advance Reporter ( benefits, 
functionality..etc.)
