[Veritas-bu] LTO1 Capacity 300GB
2003-09-17 00:23:47
I don't know if we've gotten quite to 300GB, but we have often exceeded
200GB on LTO Gen-1 when backing up highly compressible data (e.g., an Oracle
database with lots of pre-extended tables that is mostly empty).
If you're worried you could (a) restore all the data somewhere else to make
sure it comes back as expected, or (b) use bpverify.
Hope you're enjoying the start of the monsoon season ;)

Subject: [Veritas-bu] LTO1 Capacity 300GB
Hi..
I just starting to use veritas netbackup with LTO generation 1
on paper the capacity is only 100GB (Native) or 200GB (compressed)
But when I check my tape, It say the capacity almost 300GB (Native)
is it normal or something wrong with my media server??..
fyi, backup status is succes.. and I also can restore some directory
from it successfully.
[ root @spdpdb:admincmd]# ./bpmedialist
Server Host = spdpdb
id rl images allocated last updated density kbytes
restores
