This could be caused because you do not have a "user policy" for the=20
client .
You need to have a user policy (shows up in Policies in NB Console in red)
You will need that for all your clients.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] ERROR: client is not validated to use =
the server.
Well I am obviously missing something fairly simple here is my scenario:
Master Server: Win2k SP3 NBU Datacenter 4.5FP=5F3GA
Various clients: NT4 SP6a, Win2k SP3/4, WinXP
=20
My issue is this:
I have ~80 desktop PC's being backed up (don't ask, long story). When the =
user tries to pull up the restore list it tells them ERROR: client is not v=
alidated to use the server. I have verified this on my personal machine wh=
en I try and pull up the=20
restore list from another machine.
=20
How do I fix this? I have been reassured that the users are all local=20
admins on the machines. What stupid little setting/config item have I=20
overlooked?
=20
Thanks
