I am currently working on the same solution. Veritas 4.5 does support backup
to disk. As far as cheap disk space you may want to check around for the
best price.

Hi Veritas users!

I am hoping someone could give me some information regarding backup to disk.


I would like to perform backups to disk to another building (connected via
1gbps fibre) Monday thru Thursday and then perform a full backup on a Friday
to tape. Does anyone know if Veritas Netbackup can write to disk? 

Does anyone recommend any cheap NAS storage for this possible project? Is it
worth doing?
