Fergus-

What you're describing is no longer possible in 4.5, as the GUI now
appends a checksum to that text file, if the checksum doesn't match
the next time the class config is loaded, an error will result.

The commandline way to add/delete clients from a policy is to use the
"bpplclients" command.

I won't be on 4.5 for a few weeks yet, but if it's anything like 3.4,
could you just edit the
/opt/openv/netbackup/db/class/<CLASS_NAME/client file and put a # at
the start of the line for that particular client ?
I've got a unix master server on 3.4 so apologies in advance if this
suggestion is complete tosh.

Concise and to the point. I've often wondered why Veritas hasn't put
a check-box next to each client to exclude or include. After all, we
can activate or deactivate a policy. Things that make you go Hmmmm.
