Hi all

I have had a situation where my master server 's Veritas Volume Manager &=
file systems licenses expired 3 days back and i keyed in temporary=
licenses to bring the server back up.All my file systems came back up=
fine. But ever since this happened I am not able to eject tapes using the=
vmchange, vltopmenu and jnbSA all of them complaining that there is no=
media access port available.jnbSA . How ever a robtest does eject the=
tapes to the cap. We are using Storagetek L700 Tape library (ACSLS) and=
are running Netbackup 4.5 at MP2 Solaris 8 being the OS on my master=
Server. Veritas suggested making an entry in the vm.conf for the MAP_ID=
though we just have one cap in the L700 but that didnt seem to help=
either. Yesterday afternoon i had a situation where in putting in the=
MAP_ID and bouncing the ltid, resetting my L700 and recycling my fiber=
scsi routers in the L700 helped eject but something caused my LSM and CAP=
to go offline.The front panel on my L700 displayed a message saying the=
CAP as being locked and Service Required.
BTW i have no problems with my backups which i tested on my master server=
yesterday by intiating a manual backup of a policy that had my master=
server as one of the backup clients. Not sure if the other client backups=
work as i havent tested yet.

Veritas first level support is now suggesting me to apply MP3 so that the=
acs binaries get recreated. I am not willing to do this as the current=
setup is something that i had running fine for almost 7 months now.Any=
ideas/insights or help received will be grealty appreciated.
