Has anyone been successful with installing Veritas NetBackup v4.5
Datacenter as a server on Redhat 7.3 or greater? I've been running into
error code 127 where it keeps rejecting my license key (even though it's
a valid key).
I looked on the web (and the Veritas Knowledge Base) and found that I
needed to have ncurses4-5.0-2 on the machine (which it is) and make a
symlink of /usr/lib/libncurses.so.5 to /usr/lib/libncurses.so.4 (which I
did) but the install program still refuses to accept my license key.
I know Redhat 7.3 is supported as a server as of MR2 but since this is a
fresh install, I only have the CD-ROM with the General Availability version.
Anyone have any ideas? Sun Microsystems seems to be clueless on how to
support this under anything but Solaris. :(
