"vmoprcmd" is what I use, it's part of the Vertias volume manager product
and can be found in */volmgr/bin. 

A handy feature is that you can use vmoprcmd -h <hostname> to check out and
change the drive status of drives on other Veritas media servers. It even
works from UNIX to look at NT drives and vice versa.
