In general if you start by looking at the file list you won't get far. =
As
long as one of the directories in the file list exists, the lack of some =
of
the others does not constitute a backup failure.
=20
You are better off starting at the client end and making sure all its =
file
systems are covered. Do this with the bpcoverage command. If you'd =
like to
generate a quick report of all file systems on all clients that NOT =
covered
by a backup policy, grab a copy of my Perl NBU tools at
http://sticky.pbnj-solutions.com:8000/tools/NBU.html
install the module and run the script:
coverage.pl -u

Subject: [Veritas-bu] NBU return status 0 when I have a mistyping =
directory
in filelist
Hi,
=20
I have many servers and many directories to backup. So I have many =
policies
and with several directories/files in each policy. But if I have some
mistyping of the directory name, NBU can not show error in Job Monitor =
when
backup. Such as:
FileList:
/abc
/def
/xzy (mis-typing, should be /xyz)=20
/opq
=20
But NBU show status 0 when backup. Is there a way to easily know which
directory is not backup? Or I'm afraid of missing some data which should =
be
backup.
=20
Thanks and best regards.
