Hello,
I am currently using Solaris 8 with NB 3.4 on our backup
system. The OS partitions are on the first physical disk,
and the Catalog DB (that contains all catalog entries for
almost 2 years), as well as NB 3.4 installation, is on a
separate hard drive.
I intend to format the OS disk, re-partition, and install
Solaris 9, and then NB 4.5. Then I mount the partition where
the Catalog DB reside on the separate disk.
How can I make sure the new NB 4.5 with the new OS will
recognize all the catalog DB, and be able to do restores
successfully from any backup made in the past 2 years?
Are there any problem I may face? or things I should check?
I'm pretty sure there is no problem, but I don't want to be
caught losing access to the DB.
Thanks for any information.
Louis-Luc
