It sounds like you do not have the master server listed in the bp.conf file
on your master server.
The entry should look something like
SERVER = adl-ibsi
After adding the line, you more than likly will have to stop and restart
NetBackup.
This is assuming that adl-ibsi is the name of your Solaris 8 server.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] NetBackup Assistant
Hi all:
I am new to Veritas NetBackup. I have just installed
version 3.4 on a Solaris 8
When I startup jnbSA, I get a login screen. I am
logged into this Solaris box as root. At the login
screen I enter in the host box, the name of this
Solaris host and enter the password for root. After a
short while, I get the following message:
===========================
NetBackup Assistant
Connection requested by invalid server
Check to make sure that the configuration of adl-ibsi
is set to allow access to server adl-ibsi
============================
I can't understand what is going on. Can somebody shed
some light?
Thank you,
Jatin
