We have modified the backup_exit_notify script to email & page us regarding
backup problems. If a backup jobs exit status is not 0, then we get paged.

on a daily (or other regular) basis to make sure things are humming along
and there are no dark clouds on the horizon?
The problems report? Available media output? Activity monitor? Do you check
in the gui or do you have some scripts that search for the things you're
interested in?
