Karun,
Assuming NBU 3.4, then you will find the info on page 641 of the admin
guide. I just looked up "Standalone drive" in the index, there you will
find "keeping in ready state".
"To leave standalone drives in a ready condition after a backup or restore
completes, use the -nsu (no standalone unmount) option when executing the
ltid command. This option prevents ltid from ejecting the tape when Media
Manager issues a tpunmount after an operation completes. The tape does
eject if end of media (EOM) is reached."

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Tape is always ejected from DLT !
Hi Folks !
My media server has one standalone DLT4000 drive attached to it. After
taking a backup, the tape is always unloaded forcing me to reload it for the
next backup. Is this the default behaviour of DLT drives? Is there any
parameters I can change in Netbackup? I am using /dev/rmt/0cbn device file.
Thanks for your input,
- Karun
