After speaking to tech support yesterday, he said have not confirmed that
the 2-gig fix will be available for 4.5, he said they might push it out to

AND believe me this couldn't come any sooner either.  This little throw back
to the mid-90's caused considerable grief at a number of clients who wanted
to use a LINUX solution for their NAS/SAN, but found that they were out of
luck when it came to trying to back the data up locally.  I understood the
limitation back then, but can't seem to understand it with today's
architecture, etc.

It'd also be nice to have VERITAS support SGI's XFS on RedHat too!

Yes,

But there is a Netbackup limitation that will not allow you to backup files
that are larger then 2 gig in size. I believe they are releasing a fix for
it in Q3 of this year.
