[Veritas-bu] SDLT 320 Drives for StorageTek L700
2003-02-14 03:29:42
Hi!
We have two SDLT320 Tape drives mixed with 2 DLT7000 Tapedrives in a STK
L700e and had now Troubles until now.
The dries perform very well, the average backupspeed is about 40GB/hour.
We have connected the drives to a netapp filer, so it runs in SDLT220
emulation mode until netapp is supporting native SDT320 Tape drives
The Tape Drive is LVD-SCSI.
regards,
Klaus

Subject: [Veritas-bu] SDLT 320 Drives for StorageTek L700
We currently have a StorageTek L700 with 2 DLT8000
drives in it. We have about 120 DLTIV tapes. We want
to add 4 more drives. SHould we add 4 more DLT8000's
or add 4 SDLT320 drives. Or trade in the 2 DLT8000's
and add 6 SDLT320 drives and replace our media with
SDLT media?
Are the SDLT320 as trouble free as the DLT8000's?
Do the SDLT320 drives come with scsi or fibre
connection?
