FYI -

I have one SQL backup configured that backs up the DB & TLog's. We have a
two, two node MSCS clusters. One is the QAS environment and the other is
PRD. When I orignally installed Veritas about 2 years ago, SQL backups were
a joke. However, now they are very reliable (as long as they run!). I had
two schedules, one for each node, so one SQL backup would always fail since
SQL was only on one of the two nodes. I just figured out how to make it
work with one schedule so it eliminates at least one failed SQL backup ( I
didn't try to figure it out for two years!) each type the schedule runs.
All you really need is an ODBC with the same name, created by SQLService
account, on each cluster. Then that ODBC name references the virtual SQL
DB name so when the backup executes, it finds the SQL DB.

If you need more info, let me know!

Hi all Windows gurus....

Is there any one that have any good doc`s or pointers to get Netbackup 4.5
MP2 to backup a virtual Ms-SQL server instance in a
windows 2000 cluster enviorment, with 2 physical nodes?

Regards Hampus.
