OK,

I see i can use VAULT to do this across the network ( or inline if i want to
duplicate locally )

Anyone any idea just how much bandwidth required for VAULT to duplicate a
tape ( dlt4 )- can vault bandwidth useage be throttled ?

I have had differing stories regarding 4.5 ( with vault ) and the ability to
duplicate tapes across different media \master servers. I have been told
this is definitely possible - and on the other hand  not possible and that
the tapes need to reside in devices attached to same server ( i know i could
fibre the devices across site but don't have money for this )

Is there a definitive answer to a low cost method of tape duplication across
sites ?
