did anyone of you ever try to update the mysql server that
comes with netbackup as  /usr/openv/db/bin/nbdbd ?
the version of that daemon in 4.5MP2 is 3.23.38 and
it has at least one security problem, so i would like
to upgrade it to a current version.
most relevant compilation options are listed when you
do "nbdbd --help" so compiling from source should have a good
chance to work correctly.

any experiences trying this?
