I am having an issues with total backups on a Network appliance running
NetApp Release 6.1.3R2.
In the report log I get the following errors

01/02/2003 20:11:51 cannot open ndmp device /dev/nrst2a return code -10
01/02/2003 20:11:54 backup of client fridgely exited with status 83
(media open error)

Looking in the messages file on the NetApp the following is reported.
Thu Jan  2 22:02:23 CST [isp_timeout:warning]: 0b.1(0xfffffc000177e7e8,
0x08): command timeout,
quiescing bus to allow outstanding I/O to complete.

Thu Jan  2 22:02:27 CST [isp_main:error]: Tape  (0b.1): command aborted
by host

Thu Jan  2 22:02:27 CST [scsi.cmd.pastTimeToLive:error]: Device 0b.1:
request failed after try #1: cdb 0x08.

There is only one drive connected to the filer which is an SDLT drive in
a Scalar 100 robot.

After the failure the ndmpd status on the filer is idle?

Has anyone seen this or has anyone been having issues with SDLT drives?

Any help with this issue would be greatly greatly appreciated.
