Hi Dave,

I had a similar problem on one of my Win2k domain controllers.  The backups of 
the system state would die after writing the same amount of data each time.  
When I tested backing up the system state with ntbackup,  the application would 
simply exit after a few moments with no errors or events.  We applied sp3, 
which had a fix for that issue, and it resolved the problem.

I have a Win2K server that always records an error when trying to back up
the system state.  There error is "could not write KEEPALIVE to COMM_SOCK."
If I edit the filelist and take out "ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES" and enter in the
individual drive letters (leaving out the System_State:\ directive), the
backups work just fine.  Anybody else encounter this issue?  Thanks in
