Hi Stephen,
if you can nfs share the directories/filesystems from the 2.5 machine
to a supported client then you could back them up that way. However,
it's a hack which isn't supported by Sun or Veritas. We have come
across some issues with a Solaris 2.5/nbu 3.2 client being in a class/
schedule of an nbu4.5 master server which were resolved by the customer
upgrading their client installation to a supported config.
so why is it that the solaris 2.5 machine cannot be upgraded?
