If NB has more to backup and it's out of tapes, then it will request a tape
as a "Pending tape request". That request is visible on the Media Manager
GUI or with "vmoprcmd -d pr".

Once this tape is added to the stacker, along with other fresh ones, I
suppose, you need to resubmit the job, also with the GUI or the vmoprcmd
command and the backup job should continue.

I run Veritas Netbackup 3.4 on Solaris 8 with a Sony 8 tapes changer.

I wonder if it's possible to backup an amount of data bigger than the
capacity of the 7 tapes (8th one is for cleaning). When the last
available tape is full. Can I put new tapes and continu the backup ?
How can I do that ?

TIA

Yem.
