How is this success rate calculated?  Is it simply via job, or is it based
upon size of the job?  Does first success rate mean that NetBackup didn't
automatically retry a failed attempt, or does a successful automatic retry
constitute a first success?  Are you delving into log files to make sure
that a backup wasn't automatically retried because the job monitor often
doesn't show this?  With this info., a success percentage from me would not
necessarily indicate any correlation with your success rate.

It took our company over two years to get anywhere close to 99 %, and
even so, we're not doing it on the first try of all the backups. I have
81 clients, mixed netware, windows 2000 and nt. I don't think I can
remember a day when we didn't have at least one client that had to be
run manually the next day. One out of 81 is already more than 1 %. Even
with rerunning some backups manually, the second try doesn't always
work. 
94% on the first try, if that's what you mean, sounds pretty good to
me.
