Hi

Set the ATL to hardware-autoclean rather than software-autoclean (ACSLS or
NBU) - it should in the ATL manual how to do it

Netbackup can't clean drives in ACS robots (or any other api robot).
Remove the cleaning tapes from the acs pool that you present to
netbackup. That way netbackup will never see the cleaning tapes. It
can't do anything with them anyway (and they can actually cause more
problems), so just keep them out of the way.

8 box. The name of the master server stayed the same. The master has no
drives attached. One Tru64 system acts as the media server with 2 x 9840
and 8 x 9940 drives. The robot is controlled by ACSLS and control host is
the master server. Volume database host = netbackup1-g (master server).

cleaning cartridges are installed. For the 9840 (hcart) drives - HC_CART
and for the 9940 (hcart2) drives HC2_CART. On ACSLS the tapes are known as
STK1U for 9840 hcart tapes and STK2W for the 9940 hcart2 tapes. The problem
comes in we try to inventory the robot. It keeps on failing with the STK2W,
9940 cleaning tapes as it tries to map it and comes up with "NONE" as its
location although it is in the robot. If one changes all the tapes to "none
robotic" and then inventory the robot, the inventory goes through
successfully. When you however try the inventory again, it fails with the
cleaning tape.

Without the drives / robot configuration the acsd deamon could not be
started, and without this deamon the inventory could not be done.
