Try this: Run vmquery -m DXI529 and note the pool number (in parentheses by
the pool name) and the status. Then run vmquery -deassignbyid DXI529
<pool_number> <status>. If the original vmquery doesn't return a status,
use 0x0.
Good luck,
Matt

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Netbackup win2k media cannot be removed - mismatch
with barcode
I have Netbackup 4.5 running on windows 2k machine.
I have a media mismatch between media id and barcode. God knows why the ops
may have changed barcodes on a tape for some reason I don't know. Anyway one
of these tapes is a catalogue tape and I need to fix it as catalogue backups
are not working.
I have backed up my catalogue to disk and now just want to delete the media
so I can add it again with an inventory.
I tried deleting it with the gui but it says it is assigned so I then tried
bpexpdate -d 0 -ev DXI529 and I get this :-
C:\Program Files\VERITAS\NetBackup\bin\admincmd>bpexpdate -d 0 -ev DXI529
Are you SURE you want to delete DXI529 y/n (n)? y
requested media id was not found in NB media database and/or MM volume
database
Can any one help?? Please
