Once of my clients from last nights schedules seemed to be hung this morning. 
Activity monitor shows it as still active but not tapes mounted in drives. On 
examining the bptm logs it revealed that it had stopped with status 174. A few 
lines above the exit code was

02:56:31 [28116] <16> write_data: write of 32768 bytes indicated only 1 bytes 
were written, errno = 0

This looks like the reason for the failure but what does it mean? Suspect 
media? The master / media server is 3.4 under AIX
