I tried the command - it didn't work. I tried deleting the files in ffilelogs
- that didn't work either.

Will shutting down the services result in current jobs ending with a status 50?
 What are the other consequences?

We have Solaris 8 as the Master and I see that in 4.5 the job numbers are
now located in db/jobs/ffilelogs.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the bpdbjobs -delete command when faced
with this situation? It worked for me the one time that I needed it.

Michael,

Yes it is a pain. That's the way it works "now". One thing I haven't tried
is simply shutting down services and restarting them. Next time you have
that issue, try services. Happy hunting!

Somehow we've got a number of jobs that show "Active" in the NetBackup
administrator, but they aren't really running any more and can't be
cancelled or deleted. Apparently the process died (the PID associated with
the job no longer exists). With NetBackup 3.4, we could clean these up by
removing the files from the \DB\Jobs directory. Is there an equivalent way
to do this with NetBackup 4.5? The only way I've found to clean them up so
far is to reboot the machine, which is a pain.

If it matters, this is on a Windows 2000 master server.

Thanks,
-Michael
