Did you restart all your daemons after messing with the storage pools?
Another thing to check is the box that says that the storage unit can be
used by any class ("On Demand Only" = "NO" )

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Post Upgrade Problems

Hello all. I am hoping that I can get some help. We have just upgraded
from 3.4
to 4.5. The upgrade seemed to have worked. When it was complete, a set of
backups kicked off....all looked well. When I verified the config, we found
that
the setup missed 1 tape drive in the robot. The only way that we were able
to get
it back was to delete all drives and the robot and re-create them. This
worked
fine. Now when a backup is started or a restore is tried, we will get no
storage
unit available or it can't find the tape.
I have tried to do a inventory of the robot, and it says that there are
mismatches. I try to run the update and I get the error: media ID not
unique in
database (34)
I am sure that we are missing something simple....
Thanks for the help,
Paul Yahnig
