[Veritas-bu] bpclntcmd -self vs uname -n
2002-09-09 09:05:21
Solaris 8:
VERITAS NetBackup 4.5
The Master is clustered with VCS.
uname -n returns nbucfp01
bpclntcmd -self returns nbuclp01
In this case uname returns the physical node name and bpclntcmd returns the
logical host/service name of the cluster. Thats fine.
We are building a new cluster and bpclntcmd just returns the physical node
name, that means we would have to change the bp.conf when the service fails
over to another node. What changes are necessary that bpclntcmd -self
returns the logical host name?
Thank you
Joerg
